The importance of video cannot be overemphasized.
With people watching videos more than ever, it is no surprise that YouTube is a pivotal addition to the marketing strategy of most businesses. Are you one of such businesses?
Here are top tips to ensure sustainable growth for your business YouTube channel.
You cannot post one video every month on your business channel and call it a day.
To grow your channel, you have to post content consistently for the best possible results. Upload new videos and share it across your other business social media platforms as regularly as you can.
Aim for 3 to 4 carefully planned videos a month at least but don’t miss the opportunity to increase that figure. You can throw in a few customer testimonial videos every now and then to spice things up.
If your videos don’t offer any real value to an end user, they won’t get shared and ultimately you won’t be able to grow your channel. Ensure each posted video holds your best content, your most-effective strategies and your best-kept secrets.
To grow your business channel, you have to go beyond posting dull weekly videos that are merely a graphic designed transcription of content on your business blog. You need to ensure your videos are engaging and entertaining. If your videos are boring, you are failing with your marketing.
Use Featured Channels
This is one of the simplest ways to grow your channel. It involves adding other business pages you “like and recommend” into the “Featured Channels” list on your page. You can do this for other businesses in your niche but not direct competition. When they reciprocate your gesture, you will see a steady flow of new subscribers to your page.
Use Call to Actions
What do you want the viewer to do after they have watched your video? Make sure this message is communicated well before the video ends. Avoid adding more than two calls to actions though.
Write Keyword Rich Descriptions
When writing a description for your videos, you need to include the right keywords. These are terms used by your target audience so include them in a conversational manner, over no more than one paragraph is a great way to attract new subscribers.
Use Tags appropriately
You need to use between 8 and 15 tags for your videos. The best tags are one-word and two-word phrases that can be used to describe the video.
