7 Different Ways Partitioning Can Help Improve Your Office

24-02-2015 | Ramona |

Whether we are business owners or employees, we spend a lot of time at the office and our surroundings there have a HUGE impact on our productivity, happiness and even costs.

One of the challenges for a business is to find the right office space. If you’re searching for an office you can have a look at Regus which provides office space to rent or to buy. Choosing the right office space is not something easy to do and, once you have secured the best option for your business, there’s a lot of ‘room’ to grow. A nice office will make employees feel better, they’ll be more efficient at their work and this will lead to better results and more growth for the company.

Office partitioning is one of the ‘ingredients’ in making an office better organized and nicer. Instead of having to rent or purchase new office spaces or have to deal with havoc on a daily basis, partitioning can turn your office into a well-organized working space.

Better use for the space

Partitioning helps you find the best ways to use your office space to its fullest potential. You can customize your layout and find the solutions that work best for you.

Less distractions

There’s nothing worse than having to work through all kinds of distractions. Partitioning can help remedy this problem and your team will be less tired from all the distractions and more productive as a result.

More privacy

Privacy in a big office is really something one can only dream about. Partitioning can help you create spaces that are not only distraction free, but are also private. The perfect places to discuss some real business, far from any prying eyes or curious ears.

We all love our personal space and your team will probably enjoy ‘their’ space tremendously. If they are happy about their ‘spot’, they’ll perform better, helping your business thrive.

Less distraction, no more annoyances, and a nice working space: all these translate into better productivity. When you don’t have to worry about your surroundings and can just focus on the job, this leads to reaching your job and business goals faster.

Smaller office expenses

As your business grows and you need to accommodate more employees, there are 2 ways to do this: expand the office and pay more in rent / purchase more spaces or better organize the current space to make the most of it. The second way is more feasible as it allows you to utilise your existing space by keeping costs down, while your business is slowly growing.

In order to expand your current space in office, you can opt for Warehousestoragesolutions.com which offers office and industrial partitioning systems which help growing businesses create more space.

When it comes to a building, there are few things you can do, without affecting the structure. By using office partitioning, you can create new spaces and there’s virtually no limit to what you can do.

Are there any other ways you think partitioning can help your office? What solutions have you chosen so far?

Partitioning can also work very well for personal space. And that can let you do more with less space, which should mean at less cost.

For example, I have a computer station “nook” in one corner of our living room and a TV-watching alcove in my library. My wife has carved out a “tropical bird aviary” one one side of our enclosed patio and a fully-equipped office in the foyer to the master bedroom. And strategic placement of furniture definitely helps to visually separate the spaces without having any actual walls between them.

Partitioning is smart space planning… and a money saver to boot.

Really cool tips. Partitioning can indeed help with the personal space. I think I’d go nuts if I had to work in a huge room with many others. Give me small spaced (even a cubicle) and I’d already stop feeling like everyone is watching my every move 😀

I totally agree: organizing the office space is important! Less distractions, more privacy and harmony actually lead to more productivity!
However… when you work from home things are a bit different, because you have to adapt to your working space, adapting the working space so you can have more privacy or harmony isn’t exactly doable in all cases 😀
